The wave assignment #1

1: Well for the first four chapters it is mainly taking place in theirschool in the year of1969

2: I also learned that they are saying the pocket book instead of purse so it is not what we say today we say purse so that gave me a clue. They also say that they had type writers on there desk and usually it would be a computer but instead it was type writer back then. Film projecter was my 3rd one it gave me a clue because it said that they used it in class and we use video.

Betty Ann Assignment

  1. Which part of the story stood out as the saddest part, and why?

Well I think that the most saddest part in the story was when she first came to school. I think that making fun of a kid on the first day of school is wrong it is just like judging book by its cover you dont even know what it's about until you read. I mean nobody wants to made fun of at anytime cuz it just hurts and believe me i know the feeling :).

2. Was there any point YOU would have said something, when the narrator DID NOT speak up? Why/why not? Or would you have acted like she did? Try to be honest with yourself

Umm well i do not really get this question but I ill give it a shot. If i could change any part in it I would've not made the "making fun of her" so badly. Cuz as I said in question 1 I just dislike when people make fun of others.

3. Re-read the last paragraph, and then decide: What is the theme(s) (moral or lesson) in this story?

Ok well I think that the first saying "Stick and stones only break bones" means that like if u make fun of someone you are only hurting them even though you are enjoying it. Well I think when she says "life has no erasers" it probably means that like if you make a big mistake you can never take it away from your life it will always be in ya or with you. So I would say that it is try not to make big mistakes in life but you know it happens mistakes happen. =)=)

seventh grade

My favorite sentance was probably the same one as you Mrs. I it was "The rosebushes of shame on his face became bouquetsof love". I think that there is a lot of feeling in it because instead of saying his face turned from red into glimmering shine and smile he put it in a totally different way. I just like could picture his face in a in my mind tuning from bright red to glimmering and smiling. Well I think that my spot that I could connect with was the first day of school for him and for me going in the first day of school this year in 7th grade. Like seeing all my friends and just knowing that I wouldn't have to go to school not knowing anyone. Like he had a friend but the only difference was that I did not like anyone on the first day of school so thats the only difference. So that was my connection for the story.

Test Assignment

Mrs. I read a story to us today called test by Theodore L. Thomas. Well she told us to say our favorite sentance so mine was............. "He listened to the purr of engine, and he was pleased with the sound". It was my favorite becaause because it sorta made me feel calm cuz everythin was going fine. Its like the only sentance that does not have to much but it still sounds good at the same time. And it is not one of those big descriptive sentences it was not to much for me. Well I dont really think that hypnosis is good for a driving test, because I believe that you should just do a natural driving test. Hypnosis I think is just wrong cuz I would not want to be hypnotized while driving. But on the other hand I think that it is a good learning lesson. Well I think that the guy meant like how will any of us know in other words. Also it is sort of obvious that he is saying how will we know maybe they are still trying to figure out if it is a dream or not cuz it could be anybodys.

Well Mrs. Interlandi if you would really wanna know what we watched..... ok here are some facts about the first one...... grassland!!!!!!

  • In the grasslands since there is pretty much all grass, there is no trees sooooo th birds that live in grassland have to nest on the ground which is very dangerous for them because other predators could take their eggs
  • The grass there even grows during winter and through snow!!!
  • Snow gease (does not mean they live in snow), best place to nest is in the grassland no other biome/place
  • Summer in the grasslands is the time for all the plants for growth & reproduction
  • Yaks (an animal that lives in grasslands) even eat grass when its frozen
  • Elephant grass (grass that grows there) is the tallest grass in the world, it will go over an elephant itself!
  • Just one elaphant will feed a heard of lions for a week

NOW JUNGLES!!!!!!

  • The more magnificent/talented a male bird is the female will go for the best one she can get.
  • When the trees fall "by them selfs" it is a natural thing for them to do if the trees want to go on and new ones grow
  • Gathering food in the upper part of the jungle is easier for the animals, mainly the fig tree it is most popular
  • Most leaf/tree frogs come out at night to get food
  • Just one tree takes about a ton of water every year and what they don't take in returns to vaporin the air.

Thats pretty much whatI got hope you got some info on it!!!!!!!!!!!
